We are excited to announce that we have some fantastic artists at Malad High School! The art students had the opportunity to participate in the State Department of Education’s (SDE) annual Holiday Card Contest. According to the SDE, “The annual holiday card contest is an opportunity for Idaho students to showcase their creativity and for the state to recognize the importance of arts in education. The contest is open to all Idaho public school students in grades K-12. An overall winner will be chosen for each of two divisions, one for grades K-6 and one for grades 7-12. Each winner’s artwork will be published on the Idaho Department of Education’s website and used as their greeting card.”
There were over 900 entries this year, and four students from Malad High School were winners! We want to give a massive shoutout to the following students for winning this incredible honor!
• 12th grade winner - Addler Garrett
• 11th grade - Alexa Cram
• 10th grade - Adi Schow
• 9th grade - Liddia Gonzalez
A huge thank you to Mrs. Krystal Fonnesbeck for giving our students a place to thrive creatively and for looking for these fantastic opportunities for our students!

Dear Parents/Guardians, Please check your student(s) lunch accounts.
There are numerous accounts that have large negative balances. You can check your balances on PowerSchool. Payments can be made online at the district website under the "Pay Lunch Online" tab or by bringing cash or check to your child's school office. If you feel your family may qualify for free or reduced meals, please fill out a free and reduced form and return it to your child's school. Free and reduced forms can be found on the district website under "About Us", or may be picked up at any of the school offices.

As part of Red Ribbon Week, students at MHS witnessed a mock accident this morning on their way to school. We want to thank those who were involved in participating, including Life Flight, Oneida County EMS, Shawn Hamilton for supplying the vehicles, and the Oneida County Sherrif Department.

Parents of MMS Students,
We are so grateful for your continued support and cooperation during the beginning of the school year. We have noticed the drop-off and pick-up areas can be complicated at times. We hope this solution will alleviate some of the stress and congestion at the back entrance of MMS.
Please note the following changes:
No students should be dropped off or picked up in front of MMS.
If you drop off or pick up in the back of MMS, please follow these directions:
Please yield to all Bus Traffic; they have the right-of-way
Do not park or drive in the Bus Lane
Please drop your student(s) off and pick up at the front of MHS.
You will enter in the East parking lot entrance and drop off right in front.
You will exit the parking lot using the West exit, yielding to all bus traffic.
Please be courteous and kind to all staff members who are working in the parking lot and follow their instructions. We would appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
