MHS Program and Class Highlight: MHS Art Program *** Every year, the Idaho State Department of Education chooses one school and one classroom to design the Christmas Tree ornaments for the Idaho Tree in Washington, DC. In 2024, the MHS Art Program was picked to represent the entire state! This was an amazing opportunity for our artists. *** The Tree was put up in President‘s Park for the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony on December 5, 2024. *** This ceremony is a historic celebration that was first held on Christmas Eve in 1923. Now, over 100 years later, this tradition continues to mark the beginning of the holiday season. We were not able to post about it until after the event happened and the CBS Special aired. *** You can watch the tree lighting that took place on December 5, 2024, by going to https://www.thenationaltree.org/watch-the-lighting/
