MHS students have had the opportunity to job shadow at Caribou Medical Center these last two weeks. They specifically shadowed the Anesthesia team. They were able to observe many occupations from Anesthesia, Neurosurgery, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Nursing, First Assists, Scrub techs, and instrument reps. Many hours have been spent alongside many specialists, helping to provide a growing opportunity and future direction in surgical medicine. Thank you to Caribou Medical Center for allowing MHS students to come and Shadow. And Thanks to Kami Willie for setting up these experiences for students.
We have some pretty amazing things happening at MHS. The Health Occupations Program is excited to have 10 EMT students this year. The students are excited to work with the Oneida County Ambulance unit, learning skills to provide quick, safe care to our community. Safe lifting and moving a patient is one of the first skills these students learn and practice.
We have received reports of a phishing text message circulating. The text says someone at your school sent you a compliment, and that you should follow the link or text to opt out. Report the text as Spam/Junk and DO NOT RESPOND or CLICK THE LINK.
