MHS FCCLA at the State Capitol

The MHS FCCLA Chapter attended the FCCLA State Leadership Conference on April 10-13 in Boise, Idaho. As a chapter, the students received two chapter awards:

  • Exemplary Chapter Award

  • Chapter Increase Award

There were also some pretty big honors and awards given to the following students:

Aubree Palmer, Paige Wilson, and McKenzie Leckie received the "Power of One" Award. The Power of One award is earned by students who had to create and complete a series of goals based on five (5) different categories of self-improvement. Congratulations on this outstanding award!

Aubree Palmer made the State FCCLA Officer Team and will serve as the State FCCLA First Vice President next year. Congratulations, Aubree!

McKenzie Leckie and Brittania Butler made the District 5 FCCLA Officer Team! Congratulations, McKenzie and Brittania!

All students who attended the conference competed in an event. All students worked hard, and Ms. Tavoian (the chapter advisor) said, "I am extremely proud of their effort!" When students were not competing in an event, they attended workshops designed to help better develop their leadership skills. The students won the following awards:
