With the new season, absenteeism is rising. Many parents are requesting homework for their children. We at the middle school would like to take this opportunity to refresh everyone on our homework policy.
Please call in your child's absence first thing in the morning. If you desire homework to be collected, please ask for it at that time.Our office staff then requests the homework via email, which allows the teaching staff time to collect the work during their prep hour and get it to the office. You, as the parent, may collect your student's work after 3:30 p.m.
If you request homework, please make every effort to pick it up and see that it is completed by the student. If a homework request is made, teachers expect the work to be completed when the student returns to class.
It is not our policy to automatically collect homework for an absent child.
